IKEA Paramus Seminar : The Life Improvement Project

June has been quite an exciting month of traveling for The Life Improvement Project home design seminars at IKEA that I'm doing around the country with Family Circle.

A few weeks back I was at IKEA Paramus in a great home setting in the center of the IKEA store.  It was a perfect gathering space for homeowners to sit and listen to my talk about how good home design can empower and change your lives.

Here are some highlights...

Love this quote - so true.  "Limited space creates unlimited creativity."
I am a firm believer in that.

Gave homeowners a step-by-step takeaway of how to start making design
changes in their home happen NOW.  Plus, they all received a copy of my book!

I love talking up home design and quick, easy ideas to make changes happen!

I truly enjoy the interaction with the guests.  I love that I can help
them make their homes better with the help of IKEA's creative products!

The events bring in all ages.  It truly becomes a family event.
One young girl took notes on what I was saying so that she could go home and makeover
her own room!  I saw her detailed notes.  Very exciting.

Still love seeing my book out there in the world for people to enjoy and be inspired by.
Just seems like yesterday I was just starting to write it!
Starting to think about the next one now...

I sign every book with my favorite tag line "BE CREATIVE!"
We all have the potential to be creative in our homes.
When I'm in an IKEA store - I feel that there are endless creative possibilities for homes.

I think that has been a great part of what IKEA and I have been able to do with these
seminars, the videos we created and the overall creative content we brought to life this year... We have empowered homeowners to see their homes in new ways... Not tomorrow or later on this year, but showing them how they can do it all RIGHT NOW!

After the event I always look forward to the one-on-one time talking with homeowners about their design ideas...I look forward to doing more soon.  I always get asked if we can stop by someone's house to do a in person consult following these events.  I would love to do more of those too.
