Favorite "Home" Aroma : Pinon Coffee : American Made
To me, there is nothing better than the aroma of fresh-ground coffee brewing in the morning with the great scent moving through the air of the house... It just makes you feel right at home.
Recently, I came across a coffee made with another one of my favorite scents - piñon. Pinon incense is something that reminds me of smoldering firewood and I have used that for many years around my home and office. However, the discovery of the southwestern coffee created with piñon truly caught my attention.
Started over 15 years ago in New Mexico - The New Mexico Pinon Coffee Company roasts their Arabica coffee beans with pinon (pine nuts). They create their coffee in small, hand-roasted batches to ensure great quality and aroma.
I also like that much of their piñon is supplied to them by Native American Indian gatherers of the Pueblo and Navajo tribes. A truly American product.
I love the combo of two of my favorite things - coffee and the aroma of piñon.
They also have flavored coffees too. You can check them out online at The New Mexico Pinon Coffee Company. Their products are also available nationally in the Trader Joe's chain of stores.
Last, but not least, as I'm an iced coffee drinker later in the day - I was pleased to find that their coffee is great chilled too!
