The Weekend is upon us...Time to tackle the home To Do List...There is always something to add...
The simple sight of my hens outside my kitchen window this afternoon reminded me to add "clean out the hen house" to that To Do List...

A quick note for those of you thinking about raising chickens. Best advice I ever got about raising chickens - "play music" to keep the predators away from the hen house. This advice came to me from a helpful farmer husband and wife on a plane as I flew out west.
The low sounds of the radio actually keep the hens safe from outsiders trying to invade the hen house.
So, yes, there is music playing - classical mostly. Although there seems to be a great deal of NPR content every time I go in there. Smarter hens?
