Salad for dinner...

• It's amazing how things in the garden just start producing overnight...The new things this week are edible flowers for salads...This is the time of year I love because salads can be a great lunch and supper option...

• This easy salad was made with fresh arugula, cucumbers, sliced mango and edible flowers...The dressing was easily blended together with lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, fresh parsley, fresh cilantro and fresh basil...

"Flag Tree" : Saint-Onge 2011

• I recently finished this painting of my old apple tree - as part of new collection I'm working on...

• Just realized, as I was putting the finishing touches on this painting, that this same tree was struck by lightening a few weeks ago...So this painting and the sketches of it from before are probably the last time I was able to hang the American flag off of it....

• At least the old tree will live on through art...
