Movable Kitchen...

• As many homeowners are thinking about making changes to the inside of their homes at this time of year...I came across these products that I liked because they are mobile...

• I like the look of this kitchen island...The fact that you can move it around as needed is great... Could be up against a wall or in the center of your space (could also make a great work surface in an office too)....

• This movable shelving unit is good too - you can use it for kitchen things or food storage....but then move it out of the kitchen for a unique display piece in your dining room or living room...

Further thoughts on a new space for yourself...

• I talked earlier this week about creating a space for yourself to be creative or focus on things that you want to get done...

• It's important to say also that it does not have to be a whole room - it can simply be an area for you...A desk in a kitchen or pantry...

• A work surface of some sort - countertop, drafting table or maybe just a folding table covered in great fabric with some sort of top on it...

• A kitchen table can make an instant crafting table for you and the family...get some buckets for supplies and baskets that can be tucked away in a closet or cabinet easily...

• A kid's playroom could have an area that they get creative in - yet you could also use as well to inspire your own creative projects...

• In the end, you do not need a ton of space...just carve out an area and take it from there...

To Wallpaper or Not To Wallpaper...

• People will often ask me about wallpaper and if it is something they should consider for their homes instead of painting...

• This makeover I had designed awhile back, to me, captures the essence of what wallpaper can do for a room... It can add a depth and a whole new dimension to a tired space... So I thought I would share this makeover with you once again because I think that sometimes seeing is believing...

 

• Also, I thought this particular makeover was important to share given that the holidays are now officially over and our dining rooms may go back to being the room that doesn't get used very often...

• This dining room makeover gives a whole new purpose to the room...a dual purpose...one that might inspire you as you get yourself organized for the inspiring year ahead...

• It is amazing that it has almost been a year since we did the photo shoot for the cover of my book...Now the book is done, being printed as I write this and soon it will be released...

• As the new year begins...to me it's all about new beginnings and changing your perspective on your environment...

• So as you think about how you can change your own home environment...why not think about creating a space for yourself...whether it be a home office, a craft room or just a place to gather your favorite things...

• Surround yourself with things that inspire and motivate you...You are creating a foundation for your everyday life that will motivate and uplift you...

• Whether you surround yourself with your favorite photographs, travel mementos or things your kids have created...Let the details come together in a way that inspires you!
