All About The Spices...

• As you know by now, I enjoy cooking.  So when I come across products that can be part of my creative cooking process - I'm all for checking them out.  

• Recently, I found a spice company that has quite the variety of spice offerings. What I love about them is that they are all organically-made (Yes, Certified Organic) and they are made in Vermont!  

• Being that it is fall, I'm all about making soups as much as I can...So having varied spices - from various parts of the world to try out - allows me to experience different depths of flavor and spiciness (their products run from mild to very hot).  Some of them can be used in place of traditional salt and pepper to flavor any dish...

• I love the packaging of the spices as well.  You will want to have them out in your kitchen, on open shelves or in a basket by the stove so you can use and enjoy them everyday.

• As many of you know, Hurricane Irene struck Vermont very hard and many people are still dealing with the aftermath in a big way.  The bottom line - we should support Vermont-based businesses as much as we can - from wherever we are.  Vermont and its businesses are very much open for business!

• Check out Teeny Tiny Spice Company of Vermont.  Get some for yourself - but also start thinking of great Christmas presents or hostess gifts for the upcoming entertaining season.
