Open Space Design...

• Being someone that loves design, renovation and everything that focuses in the home - that must also include food and cooking for me...

• I have long been a fan of Ina Garten and her show Barefoot Contessa because when you watch her and her program - you feel like you are spending time with a friend that is teaching you how to cook something attainable...The whole concept invites you in - you are entertained, educated and empowered to go try it out yourself...That is the kind of television I enjoy...

• Of course, as someone that loves design as well - part of what invites me in is the setting for her show...This is the barn that she built a few years back to film her show in...It's a style and setting that I personally like - but I also thought it was a great example of open design living...

• Hopefully you can use it as visual inspiration for your own home...

• Though I don't get the chance to watch her show very often - I have been inspired to take on a recent baking project for a great tasting carrot cake with buttercream frosting - which came from one of Ina's books...It was probably one of the best I ever made or tasted...
