Painted Floors...
- As spring gets more into full swing - I start thinking about opening up rooms to more natural light and air...
- One of the quick ways to open up darker rooms or spaces that just need some sort of lightness is using paint to your advantage on the floor...
- I have talked about painting floors before - but at this time of year I view it as a chance to not only bring in some light but also a chance try out some colors - from crisp white, creamy linen or sand tones or maybe a vibrant color you have your eye on...
- So if you have some tired wood floors, maybe you have wall-to-wall carpeting that needs to come up or if you are wanting to be creative with plywood covering as a budget-friendly option...prime and paint them (maybe even create a design or pattern) the time is now...

That definitely seems to brighten up the space. Painted floors always make me think of beach cottages, and vacations. (two wonderful things)
This is something I definitely need to do in my older home. The cost of replacing the floors with new wood floors or even refinishing is not in the budget now. Thanks for this inspiring idea. Definitely will save some money and I can do it myself!
