Chalkboard Walls: The Ultimate To Do List Location

  • I'm a big fan of chalkboard walls...I had one in my room as a kid and I used to draw on it all the time...As a grown up, I have a large one in my kitchen that is a magnetic surface as well as chalkboard...

  • Chalkboard paint is readily available from various paint brands - in various colors.  You can even make your own chalkboard paint to your color choice - if you want to take the time...

  • You can be very creative with what surfaces you put the chalkboard paint on...Doesn't just have to be for kid's rooms or playrooms anymore...

  • Be creative!

What a great selection of images. I love this idea-just trying to figure out the perfect spot in the kitchen.

Love the idea of using a wall space like this. My husband and I have a huge to do list for our house. This is an ideal solution to just keeping adding notes. Also liked that fridge getting some chalkboard paint. Could have used that idea in some former apartments we lived in. The book is fantastic! Hope you do another one soon.

You inspired me! I went to the thrift store and bought an old frame and had a piece of masonite cut to fit inside the frame. I painted and glazed the frame a beat-up, shabby chic white, and painted the masonite black chalkboard. Just hung it in my kitchen and I love it. Now I just need chalk.

(Love the refrigerator painted chalkboard finish--it almost makes me wish I had an old fridge.)
