Another Snow Day...

• Turn on the television and it seems like most of the country is going to be seeing the best part of what winter has to offer...

• So if you find yourself snow-bound at home with your kids...I was thinking about a possible creative plan of action (though you could be a kid-at-heart and still do the things on this list)...

• Get the Post-Its out and make a plan for the day...

• Enjoy a lazy breakfast together...Get all the blankets and pillows you can find and make a big tent with lots of different rooms inside...Make a scavenger hunt throughout the house...Get a blank notebook and start making a Snow Day Journal to look back at years later...Get outside and make a snow fort...Read some old favorite book (in the tent)...Kids and adults doodle, paint, draw on paper for an hour...Have an art show of the drawings you all create after dinner in your hallway...Cook together...Turn off all the lights and have dinner by candlelight...

• Soon spring will be here again...So enjoy the time spent at home in the meantime surrounded by snow and more snow...safe and sound...
