- Summer living is meant to be more relaxed and certainly it is a time to enjoy the great outdoors, but it is also a mood you can bring into your inside spaces too...by adding some beach-themed items to your spaces...you can feel like you're on vacation at home...
- Seashells, vacation family photos, boats, baskets, books about the sea...all simple things you can bring in and change around from time to time...
- We have all heard of 'stay-cations' - where people are staying home instead of going off on vacation to save money...Well, why not make your home the place you truly want to be at this summer!

- People always ask me how I feel about televisions or seeing technology in a room...
- My answer to that is that I do not want it to be the first thing I see when I walk into a room...but I do not think it all needs to be hidden away in cabinets either...
- In the case of this bungalow I designed in Los Angeles, the entrance to the room is on the left - so you take notice of the seating area first as you enter into the space and then you notice the great view to the garden outside...After that, you come around and see the streamlined technology on the wall...
- To me, that is when technology works best in a space...a great blend of good design and technology...
- Think about how technology works into your own spaces at home...any way to make it better?

- It's always fun to look back on projects and be motivated by what was there before the project started and see how it looked in the end...
- As a designer, it reminds me that following one's original hunch or instinct about what you want to do with a space and not straying away from that is key...because it all comes together piece by piece in the way you originally imagined...if you follow that instinct you had for the room at the beginning...
- This Atlanta Loft project was also fun because it illustrates how you do not have to paint the whole space a deep red or whatever color you may love...In this case, only one wall was painted the deep red and it worked great...
