Beginning...

• People will often ask me..."What's your favorite part of a design project?"

• There is something to be said about the final staging and styling of a finished home...I enjoy the final hours of set up of a home or room I have designed because the initial idea that I had in mind is brought to life...

• However, as I begin some rough sketches for a new project...the initial inspiration and the visuals that come to mind of something that is not yet seen or built - is truly fun as well...

• The journey of taking something from the rough sketch stage through each phase of the design's evolution is motivating as a designer...knowing also that someday down the road the final spaces will be a reality...spaces that people will be living their lives in...

• In my mind, I can already see the final home completed...now is the process of stepping back and finding the road towards this completed house project...bringing the creative pieces of the puzzle together...

• What guides me towards my final goal is that clear visual for me of driving up to the completed homesite and seeing the home illuminated from inside...everything in its place and people beginning their new lives there...

• So the journey of this project begins with simple ideas...
